Please, look after your shoes!!!

Please, you pay good money for your shoes so why not look after them!
We see so many ladies that say 'all my shoes are ruined' or 'I am throwing them out the heel is broken'.......please, please just get them fixed! It is such a quick repair that save you money in the long run.

Most shoe repair places are capable of;

Re-heeling
Re-soling
Reparing broken heels
Stretching the calf of boots
Stretching the length of shoes
Taking in boots through the leg
Polishing shoes! (Please, people notice scruffy shoes!)

In Sydney city we love Angelos on the ground floor of the MLC centre or Coombs Shoe Repairs in the Strand Arcade.

I love the place to the left of Town Hall station in Sydney. They are cheap and realy friendly! I am not sure if they do stretching though.

There is a quick Mister Minute place on the underground walkthrough from Lonsdale Street to Melbourne Central. I have even had shoes done while i waited!

I hate dirty and worn shoes!!!! I agree, why don't woman look after their shoes. Scruffy shoes look un professional and as a HR Manager I always look at their shoes. If they are scruffy looking I think that they don't look after themselves so won't do a good job! I know thats bad but its blue. GET YOU GROOMING RIGHT LADIES! Great post!!!

Any place is great and easy to find for quick repairs so look after your possessions!

My favourite shoes at home has a problem heel, i didn't know I could get it fixed!!! Thank you!! I will head to the MLC centre and get it done.

I have big calves and have had my boots stretched before, it was only about $20! The best ever.

Sometimes its great to have the excuse that your shoes are wrecked so you can get a new pair! Eases the guilt

I've got difficult feet and orthotics, so when I find shoes that work, you bet they get looked after! I've got an old brass covered coal box with all the shoe cleaning gear in it - plus two pairs of stretchers and stretching spray - which gets that little bit extra....and Topy soles and heels BEFORE any serious wear, so they last even longer.

In Canberra, both the places I go are in Civic - the cobbler/shoe shop in Bailey's Arcade or Redpath's in Garema Place. there used to be a great shoe mender in Manuka, but no longer there.
